With this fragment of the Treaty of Typography edited by the Professional Schools of the Salesians of Sarrià, I started a blog entry a couple of years ago due to the preparation of a sheet of samples that I printed in order to point out the content of a new type case.
Taking advantage of the extension of the former Bunker, I took seriously the saying “a place for everything and everything in its place”, therefore those days I have completed the reorganization of all wood families. I have also changed the boxes that were containing those families and finally I finished, again, with the printing of the same sample sheets that were pointing the different typefaces.
The same exercise performed two years ago is repeated this time in a rather different context, so that some complacency walked me through this process. Thus, the idea that started in a small storage room (ten square meters) with no more than half dozen families and an old press had grow almost without having time to realize it… Now, I observe with delight the nearly 50 wood and lead families that I keep in the new BunkerType, no doubt the most precious value of the current workshop.
